Future Faction II

Matt Barri’s musical journey began at the age of 4 studying violin, moving on to guitar, drums, keyboards and eventually music theory. Matt is a musician, songwriter, DJ and producer who draws inspiration from artists like David Bowie, Jauz, Porter Robinson and his grandfather, Steve Barri.

As a performer, Matt has DJ’d internationally and domestically including direct support artists such as Steve Aoki, Lil Jon, Wooli and most recently OddKiddOut. Matt has performed his original music at The Troubadour, Avalon and has written original music for documentaries, industrials and has even done sound design for consumer products and toys.

In 2021, Matt graduated from ICON Music Collective in Los Angeles. He has also attend the prestigious Grammy Camp on multiple occasions concentrating in Electronic Music Production and Audio Engineering. He was awarded “Producer of The Year” at the University of The Pacific Music Business and Production Camp.

Matt has been focused on his catalog writing, producing and performing a number of new songs. He has released 6 new songs in 2022 and has an EP scheduled to be released in January of 2023. He has also scored and written original music for several TV pilots and commercials. He has also appeared in several virtual music festivals most recently Proximity’s Gravity III which accumulated over 600,000 views.
